In 2010 I bought a brand new cookbook packed full of healthy vegetarian and vegan meals. I was so excited I wanted to cook each and every delicious looking recipe. While I did cook a few — and have mostly loved them all — the book has more or less collected dust these past two years.
I’ve decided to make it my mission to try all of the recipes in the Moosewood Restaurant Cooking for Health and share them with interested readers. Since starting my blog, I have found other recipes from various other sources which I also use as well.
Though the Moosewood is vegetarian, I do eat meat and share some of those recipes on this website as well (I have found a really tasty fish taco recipe you have to try!) However, the whole point of this endeavor was to introduce myself to a healthier lifestyle so I do keep that in mind when choosing and sharing recipes. I include nutritional information with each recipe when possible.
I currently live in Calgary, Alberta with my husband and cuddly cat. My blog will at times make mention of specific stores or events that may be useful to other local cooks.
